FLEECE WEIGHT AND ACTIVITY GUIDE
•100g / m² (micro fleece): On its own it is ideal for
high-performance activities, such as trail running . Can be worn under another
fleece or outer jacket.
•200g / m² (medium weight): Good breathability and movement
capacity, this makes it good for hiking or simply resting with the body in
heat. It also serves as a cape under a waterproof garment.
•300g / m² (heavy): Ideal in arctic conditions, under a thicker coat , or top layer in cooler climates.
MAIN CHARACTERISTICS OF A FLEECE
The decision-making power is yours to make your fleece fit
as closely as possible to you and your activities. Let's make it an informed
decision!
•With or without hood?
In my opinion, few things as annoying as dealing with the
cold in the ears . A hood that retains heat in the area and can be worn under a
helmet or on its own.
•Can my fleece be waterproof?
Don't be fooled, a fleece alone cannot be waterproof. If
they sell it to you like this, something is not right. Eye! Although they are
resistant to humidity, they are also flammable, so the iron, dryer and
radiators are your enemies.
•Zippers varieties
Full zip or quarter zip? The full closure turns your fleece
into a jacket, while the quarter or interactive closure gives it an extra
jumper roll and fits perfectly with a waterproof jacket.
•Yes to the pockets!
There can be one to three pockets anywhere strategically
arranged. The front pockets on the chest are compatible with the use of a
harness, those that go more to the waist, are ideal for warming the hands.
•Adjustable hem benefits
Greater protection from the cold wind? An adjustable hem
adjusts with a drawstring, to create a more efficient barrier for cold weather.
•What is anti-lint fabric about?
It is usually a high-end feature, and from one brand or
another, for which it is worth investing a couple of euros more. Prevents lint
or yarn balls from appearing on the lining surface, which can compromise
thermal insulation and shorten its useful life.
